Artist Statement and Philosophy

I have always been drawn toward the beauty of glass.  It was only until I moved to the mainland and invited to make a glass egg by a friend, did I begin to become enchanted with glass.  After that, I took many classes on techniques and design and began to really understand the nature of working with such a versatile, delicate, and brilliant medium.

The path I am walking with glass is one of continuously developing my skills and my art.  By balancing solid techniques with design and materials, I try to capture the essence of my spirit using this medium. I find creating with this medium brings me closer to my Native American and Island cultures.

May you too, find your path filled with beautiful art and that it always nurtures your spirit.
